Determining Device Names (PC/macOS)

Please use the below instructions to locate the name of your device for inventory or remote support purposes.

macOS

The computer name is usually in white writing in the background/desktop of Mac. If it's not, there is a program called Particulars that is not running. Once you open the app all the text will populate in the background of the desktop.

Windows/PC

On the Windows side, we will start with the Login Screen.

In the User name field as shown above, we will enter either '.\' or 'Administrator' (Please Omit the '').

When either of those options is input into the correct field, "Sign in to: COMPUTER NAME" Appears.

Once logged into Windows, it can be read on the background, generally located in the top right of the screen.
