Cubes Report
Initial Connection Configuration

Step 1

Open Excel

Select: Data

 

 Step 2

Click:  Get Data

Click: From Database

Click: From Analysis Services

 

Step 3

  1. Enter Server name: sumnerctsdtncubes.tylerhost.net (server name could change depending on environment, contact IT if server name does not work).
  2. Log on credentials:
    1. Enter Username: datacenter\5773first.last example (datacenter\5773doe.john
    2. Enter Password:  Tyler password. 
  3. Click:  Next

Step 4

  1. Under select the database that contains the data you want dropdown: Select Mun5773prod_general ledger Cubes
  2. Check mark box: Connect to a specific cube or table.
  3. Select your cubes report: Finance will choose (GL Revenue and Expenses Cube).
  4. Click Next.  

Step 5

You have the option to allow Cubes to save your password. This will auto sign you in once you open your cubes report.

Click:    (Save Password on file).

Click: Yes

When Cubes report opens, you will need to refresh the data to update. The system will automatically update this data upon opening by selecting:  (Always attempt to use this file to refresh data).

Click:  Finish


There are additional steps beyond this for Finance to setup their Pivot Table.
Please suggest they collaborate with other department members on which ledger/pivot table creation etc...
